At Howard Collins Photography we offer a bespoke portrait service, when you book your photo-shoot we find out about your personal taste so that we can best fulfill your expectations. We ask about the kind of images you are looking for and how you would like to display them. We discuss your childrens interests and temperaments so that we can better understand the personalities we are trying to capture.
The choice of location for your session is up to you, perhaps at a place that is special to your family. If you have a new baby the family home is likely to be the best place for the first portraits of your new arrival. The shoot revolves around your baby’s needs, breaks for feeds and nappy changes are expected and naps are just great for getting cute photographs!! We have years of experience of photographing babies and boundless patience, our one aim is to capture those precious early days that are so fleeting. See here for an "at home" session.
If you have older children you may wish to play in the park, paddle on the beach or visit a local beauty spot. Whatever the season nature provides a stunning backdrop, the bluebell filled woods in spring, the blazing colours of autumn and the year round appeal of the sea-shore. With our easy going style you can enjoy your family time together whilst we create a variety of natural and "directed" images.
We're flexible! Should the weather be unsuitable for your shoot or a family member become ill your session can easily be rescheduled.
After your photo-shoot we edit and enhance your images to create a set of around 50 beautifully crafted portraits for you to choose from. A week or so after your portrait session you are invited to our studio for your product design and order session, here you can sit back and relax with a drink as you view your images on the big screen. Choosing your framed wall portraits or album layout is easy with our state-of-the-art design software and expert guidance.
